Ethics’ definition is well-founded standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues.
- Mayor Meehan does not follow the state statutes, therefore puts the Town Board and Town of Norwood in serious threat of legal litigation. She has violated what is commonly referred to as Sunshine law, C.R.S. 24-6-402, which is law that governs communication between board members outside of public meetings and what can be said outside of a public meeting when two or more trustees are present. - Mayor Meehan does not and refuses to follow the Town of Norwood Code of Conduct for Elected Officials. Ref: Board Code of Conduct Staff Section
- Mayor Meehan has violated the Town of Norwood Code of Conduct for Elected Officials numerous times and continues to do so. The public and the recall committee has brought these issues up.
- Instead of adhering to the Town of Norwood Code of Conduct for Elected Officials, Mayor Meehan has directed the town mediator to re write all town polices and code of conduct for elected officials.
- Numerous formal complaints have been filed against Mayor Meehan with no action from the town board.
